WHO WE ARE

Since 1997, DePalma Contracting has grown steadily from a small family business operating from a kitchen table and working on local projects to a formidable regional contracting firm whose scope of projects range from office buildings and retail stores to colleges & universities and healthcare facilities.

While the size of our company has increased, our approach has never wavered: we are a hands-on company.

Our ownership.

Our management.

And our workforce on the ground.

Philosophically, being a hands-on company brings us back to our beginning – to our roots. After all, if you have your hands on the business it becomes more personal, more important.

Culturally, this approach encourages everyone in the company to ‘take ownership’ in their work – from physical construction to the promise of their word.

This, of course, points to being proud of the work we deliver.

And pride serves as a powerful motivator in delivering excellence, time and again.

FEATURED PROJECTS

BLAIR ACADEMY

The Blair Academy Dormitories were two separate light gauge load bearing buildings, used to house students living on the school’s campus. DePalma Contracting, Inc. was contracted to complete the load bearing light gauge framed walls, floor joists, metal decking, light gauge trusses, sheathing, insulation, and drywall.  The project was completed with both buildings being built simultaneously under budget and within schedule. The project was completed September of 2015.

MASON GROSS CEILING

The Mason Gross School of the Arts is a 23,500 sf educational facility at Rutgers for Music & Theatre Colleges.  Joseph Natoli hired DePalma Contracting to perform the light gauge framing, insulation, sheet rock, installation of doors & hardware, and acoustical ceilings.  Extreme detail had to be paid to the strict sound STC requirements on this project, and isolation hangers at walls and ceilings had to be installed.  DePalma is also responsible for designing and installing a fan shaped drywall ceiling at the main choral room for acoustical diffusion. DePalma won the 2013 DISCA “Unique Project” category for this project.

OCEAN COUNTY COLLEGE HEALTH & SCIENCES

This project is an 87,000 sf Health & Sciences academic building. Our scope involved exterior light gauge framing, insulation, drywall, and installation of finish trims. This project is scheduled to be completed in November 2017.

NJ CARPENTERS TRAINING FACILITY

This project is a 50,000 sf new training facility for the New Jersey Carpenters Union. Our scope of work included light gauge framing, stadium framing, glue lam decking, drywall, insulation, and acoustical ceilings. This project is expected to be completed in December 2017.
